natural foods from your garden

A hedgehog sometimes will eat snails including the shell. This helps to keep their teeth clean. An eaten slug will leave behind bits in their mouth and can lead to infections. Eating something to crunch on naturally clean the surface of their teeth. Cat biscuits will artificially help with that process.

Try to produce or allocate a rough area of ground that can grow wild or place down cuttings on the ground in a secluded spot. Within a few days, this area will produce large numbers of beetles and worms near the surface. Hedgehogs will happily explore that patch night after night in a natural instinctive way for food or even use it as shelter. Sometimes a cosy wooden shelter is too hot for them in the summer.
